Referential integrity across two databases?

Hello,

This is my first post on this forum. I'm not a newbie to mysql, but I was wondering something that would potentially be very useful to me should this feature be available....

I was wondering if anyone knows whether it's possible to have a referential integrity constraints across two databases? Haven't heard of this on any other RMDBs, I'm pretty sure the answer is no and that its a silly question, but I thought I should ask in case :)

This is an easy thing to do using programming languages, but it would be nice if it was possible for mysql to ensure the RE of the data...

Thanks,
Marcus
