Re: Are there any plans on improving count(*)'s speed?
I'm not complaining about the query taking 3 seconds. I already said I dealt with it via denormalizing the table (which is what you told me to do). I'm talking about how count(*) (or count(id) as well) are extremely slower in InnoDB than in MyISAM, which doesn't seem really useful.
