foreing key and Partitioned table

I am trying to apply pk-fk to a partitioned table and get an error.

Error Code: 1506: Foreign key clause is not yet supported in conjunction with partitioning

Mysql 5.5.12, engine innodb

Is it true that MySQL is not able to do this? How can one have a descent DB?
