using ibdata1 in another mySQL server
Hi Everybody,
Plase, forgive me if this post is in wrong place or off topic, but I don't know what to do. I'll explain it better:
One of my customers has a MySQL 5 installed and running, but doesn't have the root password (hehe).
The main point here is: ThereĀ“s a system, done in Adobe Air I think and that keep information inside this MySQL. If we reset the password, we can't use the system and now, this is very important until we deploy the new one.
What I'm trying is to build another server and copy the ibdata1 (where I think all the data is located), trying to have access to this file, but from MySQL environment.
Is this possible? Have you ever tried this?
Any ideas how we can, maybe, import data to a new MySQL server?
No ideais really.
Thanks in advance
Alex
