Sorry, please see the equivalent sections in the MySQL 5.1 Manual rather than the MySQL 5.6 version.

I would also recommend that you upgrade both servers to the latest 5.5 or 5.6 as soon as possible; 5.0 and 5.1 are no longer supported (the last 5.0 release was nearly 3 years ago, and 5.1 was EOL'ed last year). Keep in mind that you most likely cannot upgrade directly from 5.0 to 5.5 or 5.6; you'll need to upgrade one major series at a time: 5.0 to 5.1, then 5.1 to 5.5, and finally 5.5 to 5.6.
