I found this line in my.cnf:innodb_autoextend_increment=64
So I am assuming autoextend is enabled...the question is if 64mb is enough...this must be the default value,,,I have never edited.
Apart from that though I have found the cause of the problem:
https://bugs.mysql.com/bug.php?id=68148
So...have you heard of the above issue...is there a way to prevent it in the first place?
