That is actually the documentation I've been using. I suppose on reflection that the fact that the URL to this documentation includes "../4.1/.." indicates that *all* the GIS functions included in 4.1.15 are included in this version of the documentation - not just the functions which were also in 3.23 (which is mentioned in the page title).

The complication is ....

I don't know when MySql went beyond 4.1.15, but when Lenz Grimmer posted at:

http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/4.1/en/functions-that-test-spatial-relationships-between-geometries.html

on January 29 2008 that "Some of the functions mentioned above have now been implemented using non-MBR geometry", I imagine that he was referring to v5 of MySql - even though his post is in the documentation for v3.23 to 4.1.

All a bit grey and boring. I shall just have to test out these functions and see whether they work with 4.1.15.
