In a presentation entitled 'Chosing Hardware And Operating System For MySQL', Peter Zaitsev says of Flash storage for MySQL that it "often provides more IO than MySQL Can handle" (slide 14). Since I have heard thi anecdotally elsewhere, I wondered if anyone could shed any light on where the bottleneck is and whether it was being addressed?
