I just want just like in other programminglanquages acces a table as follows,

It has foor eaxple an index on name. Alot of Sm... names are there.

I now see that in a where clause I have to ask for a full name like Smith to get all mr Smith's. When have in de where clause, where name = "S", following the index nothing is found. And I just want all the names beginning with S or Sm etc.

Any suggestions?
