new dual core 2 CPUS, linux and MySQL?

intel hardware is not my specialty ...

My MySQL (running 4.0.20) is now on one of those new dual core machines. Linux recognizes all 4 cpus (even though there are only 2 boards in the machine). My question for tweaking the my.cnf file is will MySQL 4.0.20 see 4 cpus or 2? How do I know?

And if not -- wil 4.1.x see them as 4? or do I have to wait for 5.0?

(this is to set the thread_concurrency value which is 2* # of CPUS)

thoughts? testing?

thanks,
erin
