hi,
i want to know how the performance of mysql compares on the following machines and environemnts

Dual Xeon 3.2 Ghz with 8GB of RAM running CentOS 4.x in 64 bit mode, running MySQL 64 bit version compiled from source with an Inten compiler

Dual Xeon 3.2 Ghz with 8GB of RAM running CentOS 4.x in 64 bit mode, running MySQL 32 bit version

about the above 2 configurations, how would the HT effect the performance. as in HT should be turned off to prevent unsecure memory sharing in *nix environment

Dual Opteron 2.4 Ghz with 8 GB of RAM , running SuSE 9, with MySql running in 32 bit mode

Dual Opteron 2.4 Ghz with 8 GB of RAM , running SuSE 9, with MySql running in 64 bit mode

any experiances or data points would be greatly appreciated.

Regards
M Kamran Nisar
