Thats great. Thanks for your help.

One question that has not been answered though and I don't even know if its possible is how to find out the actual CPU and memory consumed by a query.

In SQL 2005-2008 there are Data Management Views that hold this info plus server variables that can be accessed. However I haven't found a way to view the actual resources consumed by a query yet in MySQL.

Running top just gives me the CPU/Memory for the whole MySQL process and running mytop does give individual query info but its really just SHOW PROCESSLIST funked up a bit.

Do you know if its even possible to get down to this level?
