Slow in login - Microsoft Cluster

Hi,

We have 3 identical Win2003 servers, 2 of which are clustered using Microsoft Cluster. We are facing very slow logging in to the mysql database in the cluster servers. Below are the timings for a login:

Non-Clustered :
- 0s (via localhost)
3s (via hostname)

Clustered :
- 0s (via localhost)
15s (via active hostname/ip)
30s (via virtual hostname/ip)

Mysql is defined in the cluster resource as generic service. The initialisation parameters of the mysql databases of these servers are identical and those test were carried out using the same database copy.

Anyone has any clue to how this can be improved ?

Thanks.
