That can certainly be the case, how do I find out for sure? The only other piece of data I have is that in the other times when the transactions takes less than 1s, there were still 5 of these transactions per second. And there aren't really more of these per second for these slow ones. Perhaps the contentions are happening down to the millisecond level?
