Running a db from memory

Hi Folks;

I'm a MySQL newby and have a website with forums. The forums consume about 40 megs and the server I'm going to migrating to has 2 gigs of memory.

I'm hoping, for the sake of speed, to run the entire db out of memory. Most requests are reads.

For compatability reasons I have to run version 4.0.16 Is this possible with MySQL? And if so, how would I load the entire db into memory?

Thanks!
Marvin
