Messages like "Sending data" tend to be 99% of the time, hence provide little information.

"Analytics"? Consider building and maintaining "summary tables". They tend to be much smaller and much faster.

Show us some more specifics (schema; SELECTs other than just COUNT(*), etc), and I can provide more suggestions.
