5.6 -> 5.7 - huge jump in memory usage, CentOS 7.
Hi all,
I have two (idle) instances of MySQL running, 5.6 and 5.7.
Machine.
Sony Vaio, 2GB RAM, Centrino Duo.
OS CentOS 7.
MySQL Ver 14.14 Distrib 5.7.5-m15 and
MySQL Ver 14.14 Distrib 5.6.22 (what does 14.14 stand for?).
Both compiled from source - no special options, just cmake ../my_code_directory.
Now, my 5.7 instance is using 4-5 times the RAM of the 5.6 instance - and this is all of the time - memory usage of both instances goes down after a period of no use. Is this a known phenomenon?
