Re: Which is the preferred platform for mysql cluster?

I had a bug that meant the cluster would not restart. Jonas has found the problem, but he said it would not happen with a 2.6 kernel. I would rather run on a system that is as compatible as possible with mysql, as my machines are dedicated to running mysql. Debian with a 2.6 kernel will mean installing a new kernel (challenging for me), and also I may have problems with debian packages. Since the machine is dedicated I don't need many packages, only ntpd, vsftpd, sshd and similar things, so I can probably stay with debian.

I was wondering if there was a preferred platfrom, and hopefully one that ships with a 2.6 kernel. But it sounds like there isn't really a preferred platform, so I guess I will upgrade my debian kernel. Thanks, Jason
