To attain even distribution of data/index memory, assuming 2 replicas, you should either use 4, or 8 data nodes. As it cant evenly distrubute 2 replicas accross 6 nodes.

For a 2 replica setup, its best to configure either 2,4,8,16 and up datanodes to ensure that data is distributed as evenly as possible.
