The uint64_t member will work if I define the column to be NOT NULL. So, that changes my first question.
How are nullable fields defined inside the struct? I know there is a nullable-byte and nullable bit_in_byte fields for the RecordSpec but I have not yet figured out how map them to the struct. Are there any examples or more detailed documentation on this?
