High availability scenario scrutiny sought
Hi Guys,
I am working on feasibility for database solution. We already have an software application using database MySQL 5.1. Requirement is for high data availability is like this:-
1. One central office which will be well connected with internet and data server
2. Multiple branch locations which are not well connected to internet, but whenever gets online should synchronize with central server.
3. In case of unavailability of central server, soft. application should be able to get connected to local MySQL server as an failover options.
4. All branches should be able to access complete data through software application irrespective of internet availability
For this scenario, we are about to opt MYSQL CLUSTER as solution.
Architecture for network
---------------
Central Office(1): Will have cluster management node and Sql node
Branch Offices(Equal to number of branches): Data nodes
Please, advice if the choice will workout or not. Will be very nice if Pros and Cons are explained a bit.
Thank you very much!!! Awaiting your response!!
