Enquiry for new version improvements

Customer is planning to upgrade from MySQL cluster 5.6 to MySQL cluster NDB 7.2.
Yet he found many major critical product limitations in old version and wish to know whether the followings could be resolved/ enhanced in the new version. Is there any Guru able to advise?
1. Performance Improvement
In general, always got db query session timeout, although there is timeout advised , it is slow performance when running join table query or multi-node involved, will there be improvement on it in new version?

2. Deficient Feature
There is no db session locking information provided, and we cannot kill or find the corresponding block session, will there be such information in new version?
Ref: Bugs SR 3-7676438021 - There are always long stale db query which may hold other session, we hit several times a year.
