Looks a little odd as
ndb_mgm -e show
is showing that there are free [mysqld] slots that can be used from any machine - MySQL Cluster should allow the connection.
Are you sure that this was still the case when you tried running the mysqlds that caused the errors?
Are you sure that neither your firewalls or selinux are blocking anything?
