ndbmtd constantly writes to disk on idle

Hi,
I just setup a mysql cluster, so far everything is working as expected.
I have 2 data nodes with just ndbmtd running. I noticed that on both data nodes the ndbmtd processes writing constantly 7-10MB/sec on disk with an idle cluster for more than 12Hours.
#Node 1
Device: tps MB_read/s MB_wrtn/s MB_read MB_wrtn
vda 472,00 0,00 9,24 0 9
#Node 2
Device: tps MB_read/s MB_wrtn/s MB_read MB_wrtn
vda 488,00 0,00 9,62 0 9
The netwok traffic is 200-250KB/sec on each node overall.
Is this a normal behavior ? is it possible stop that ?
