Yes, lots of people refer to a farm of replication slaves as a cluster. This is correct use of the word cluster, but isn't MySQL Cluster the storage engine (the topic of this forum).

Replication is more suited to the replication forum - as people who know more about it hang out there. We're all about MySQL Cluster in here :)
