What's in the logs for the nodes? cluster log? any trace logs? is your other data node up?

Sorry that you seem to be having problems. What type of tables are you storing? The fixed sized row limit in 4.1 and 5.0 could be troubling you. 5.1 has variable sized rows which could be able to help you a lot.
