have you checked that your running a mysql binary with NDB support compiled in? (for the one saying ndbcluster was an unrecognised option).

Otherwise it looks like your SQL nodes should be trying to connect.

You know you shouldn't use the mysqld binary directly to start the server, don't you? the MySQL Instance Manager or mysqld_safe script should be used instead.

Have you restarted the mysql server and seen it not connect to the cluster? what happens when you try to create NDB tables? are there any warnings, what are they?
