hi guys,
All the responses sent to me by you all were of great help. I have few points to make here:

Even without specifying any port number mysql connects by default to port 1186. Hence it is not required to explicitly specify port number ( unless otherwise that you want the cluster to run in some other different port)

MySQL cluster has its own way of assigning the Id. Hence we need not specify it in the config.ini file.

The issue that caused me the problem here was that i had two different executable files for NDBD in two locations. By default the path was set to /usr/sbin/ where as my correct executable NDBD file was in /usr/bin/

After correcting the path everything went fine.
See how a small thing confuses us :)
