Replication Safe Failover

Dear all,

I have a master slave setup (1-4), I want to setup an automated Failover from the master to one of the slaves, if the master went down, but I am worried about the following.

• If the master went down, I cannot grantee that Slave one has read and executed all the logs from the master to have an extact copy of the data before slave one becomes the new master.

o How can we guarantee that SLAVE 1 will read all its logs and executes them before it becomes a master?

o For slaves 2, 3, and 4 to start reading from Slave one they need the coordinates of its log file to start reading from, how can we now were to start reading from so that no log is executed twice?
