You didn't replied to following questions,

Further, after reboot of server 2. Please paste corresponding error log entries to check. Please paste error log entries which is you declared in mysqld_safe section in my.cnf most probably in /var/log/ directory. Also,

mysql> SHOW GLOBAL VARIABLES LIKE 'server-id';
Post result of that after reboot on both servers.

Ahead, from show slave status on both masters position is at the start value (106 normally is the starter of binlog). I suggest aster enabling slaves check your replication setup by manually entering couple of records on both sides and check to see those are replicated or not and in this case Exec_Master_Log_Pos value will increment also.
