slave crash

hi all, i post this on INSTALL forum and can't find help. hopefully somebody can give me a hand. thanks.
* slave crashed with signal 11 error
* after mysql restarted, it always complained it couldn't find a temporary table it just created before the crash when it began to LOAD DATA LOCAL INFILE. suspect it is os related.
* tmpdir set on slave, so slave_load_tmpdir has the same value as tmpdir. The directory has enough space, but I saw the replicated load statement use '/tmp' directory. seems strange to me but '/tmp' directory has enough space too.
* the file to load is very small, only a few KB
