Re: Problems with Master & Slave on same host
Hi, Rick!
I didn't docuement port numbers, because they ARE different and port numbers are NOT my issue.
My issue is that SERVER-ID numbers in running instances are identical; regardless the fact that they are DIFFERENT in the CNF files.
SUMMARY:
Port numbers are different in 2 same host mysql instances
Server-id numbers are SAME in 2 same host mysql instances
I got around this by hacking the init scripts to explicitly hard-code EVERYTHING in CNF file to pass mysqld_safe
How can I simply tell mysqld_safe which CNF to use and it will then dynamically use that content to start mysqld?
Please, advise. Thank you.
~Mike
