Clever trick.
Do you have any binlog/replication-do/ignore statements in my.cnf (my.ini)?
Does everyone have permissions to write to that table?
Is that table in its own database? (Might be a good idea, for various reasons.)
Are you using Statement Based Replication? (I wonder if MIXED or RBR might work better.)
