Thanks for the reply.I was afraid you might say that. The load balancer algorithm is based on fewest httpd connections and it does not move between servers once a session is established. At least that much is OK. Unfortunately the application is a third party app so I have no control over how the auto increment stuff is done, or anything else for that matter. I guess we are going to be stuck with a single master which will create availability problems but I guess we will need to write something that monitors that and perhaps automatically switches masters somehow.
