Replication across different MySQL versions
Hi, newbie here to the forums needing some information:
I have been successfully running replication of my database between my Windows 7 'server' and my XP Pro slave (both running v 6.1) until:: I had a problem doing some changes to my 'server' DB (all my development is done on a Win 8.2 laptop running 6.3) so I upgraded my version on the Win 7 machine to 6.3 - voila problem gone but now replication has stopped working. My simple question is (and I have tried to find the answer) - can replication work between my Win 7 server running MySQL Workbench 6.3 and my XP Pro slave running MySql Workbench 6.1? OK, there is a second question - if 'Yes' can someone at least point me to the changes I need to make in the setup.
