Merging mysqldump backups

A large chunk of data was deleted from one of my databases. I have a backup from prior to the deletion and a backup made post-deletion. A good amount of data from the post-deletion backup still exists in the earlier backup. I'm trying to restore everything that is missing.

Is there any way to 'merge' the database backups so that I get all of the older backup's data, then update / insert anything changed / new in the newest backup?

My goal here is that if the data in the old backup is the same as the new, it ignores it, if it's different, it updates it to the new backup's data, and if it didn't exist, it adds it.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I have full access / control on the server side.
