We have been working with Oracle/MySQL Support for the past 3-4 weeks and have successfully configured and tested Full and Incremental "direct to TSM" backup and restore functionality. While no Tivoli-specific agent exists for MySQL databases, we were able to use Tivoli's TDPO (Oracle - RMAN) with some minor configuration changes. It provides access to the required libraries and provides the sbt-opt files setup to complete the configuration. Overall, we are very pleased with the process and many thanks to Oracle/MySQL resource Sveta Smirnova for her dedicated assistance.
