You understand that 100Mb Ethernet maxes out at about 6MB/sec. Note: b=bit, B=Byte.

Was suckered. Did not know about the "B" vrs "b". Did I mention the awe about your depth of knowledge?

More thoughts but off topic (MySQL) so keeping them for another day, except to say that will be redoing the server and upgrading to Mysql 5.5 and apache 2.4 on a freeBSD server. Good stuff. Actually pretty excited about it.
