Hi!
Can someone suggest where to get the latest source for mysql-administrator, mysql-gui-common and mysql-query-browser.
I tried the BitKeeper Repositories at bk://mysql.bkbits.net/mysql-administrator, bk://mysql.bkbits.net/mysql-gui-common, bk://mysql.bkbits.net/mysql-query-browser as suggested at
http://dev.mysql.com/doc/mysql/en/installing-source-tree.html.
But it seems that the sources there are over 7 months old. In the configure.in form mysql-administrator the version number is: AC_INIT(mysql-administrator, 1.0.19).
Then I tried SVN Repositories at
http://svn.mysql.com/svnpublic/mysql-administrator,
http://svn.mysql.com/svnpublic/mysql-gui-common,
http://svn.mysql.com/svnpublic/mysql-query-browser as suggested in the mailing list post
http://lists.mysql.com/gui-tools/1770.
Well, this is a little bit better. The version number in the mysql-administrator configure.in: AC_INIT(mysql-administrator, 1.0.23). But the FileVersion from res/windows/MySQLAdministrator.rc is 1.1.3 !?!
So, the latest source, after all, is at
http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/administrator/1.1.html. The configure.in from this package contains: AC_INIT(mysql-administrator, 1.1.2). And the FileVersion from res/windows/MySQLAdministrator.rc is 1.1.2 !?!
To add more versioning confusion the latest binary RPM for SUSE 9.3 at
http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/administrator/1.1.html is 1.1.3 and the latest source RPM for the same OS/Distro is 1.1.2 !?!
And, to add even more versioning confusion, there is the bug
http://bugs.mysql.com/bug.php?id=13793 which prevents displaying of actual version number in the About dialog of MySQL Administrator under Linux.
So, where to get the latest source for MySQL Administrator form?
