Re: Mysql Administrator error "Could not find settings"

I have a similar problem only that I am running in zLinux. I would like to be able to start/stop the db, read the log files, change the startup variables, and use the full functionality of the MySQLAdmin tool. I have setup a tunneling session which identifies my connection as localhost but, does not let into the items I mentioned above. I get the 'Could not fin settings' error. It states that 'Either the server serviceor the configuration file could not be found. Startup variables and service section are disabled'. Where should it pick up the config file? Should I have a copy on my laptop? I am connecting remote.

Thanks if anyone can help!!!
