Re: Mysql Administrator error "Could not find settings"

I'm working in localhost with Xampp installed, under windows xp pro.
I've done the changes mentioned by Colin and Nikos to the ImagePath in the registry.
(Using regedit: under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\MySQL\ImagePath ).
I've changed the registry in this way:
"C:\xampp\mysql\bin\mysqld-nt.exe" --defaults-file="C:\xampp\mysql\bin\my.cnf" MySQL

I encountered troubles restarting only the services. It is not sufficient to solve the problem. If you restart only the services the problem seems to be unsolved but not if you restart windows.

Restart Computer and then restart services and it works!

Thanks to Colin and to Nikos
