How to login as MySql Admin

Hai ----

Iam after a project which involves to do a backend in Mysql.., I downloaded MySql from website. and I installed it successfully.

Iam able to see mysql>

second day when iam trying to login iam getting a error 2003: access denied for user @ localhost.(100061)


---for this i typed mysqld
then mysql
mysql> came up.

whats the entire problem is I want to create a database by name clients., but it is saying access denied . and by default it took my username as ODBC.,

and iam having rights only to create tables and alter tables

but not anything else!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

and any tries to grant rights for ODBC failed.

Any suggestions are welcome..............,
