Oh man, if you weren't a dude I would kiss you. that worked like a charm:)
It restored the 70MB file in no time and the 1.4GB is going now!!!! Woohooo!!:)
I did find that the Max allowed packet size was set too low and mysql would not run, I set it really high and it ran through just fine. I wonder if that is why the restore on the Gui was going so slow too. I will have to test that.
