MyODBC, VB probem, Possible fix
Good Day all!!
For the last week and half I was having problems with MyODBC and VB6. I have MS-Windows 2000 Server, Visual Basic 6, MySQL Server 4.1, and MyODBC 3.51.11-1.
After checking out a large number of forums, this is what I did.
1. Updated my Visual Basic 6 with service pack 5.
2. Updated MDAC, Microsoft Data Access Components 2.8 (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?displaylang=en&FamilyID=6c050fe3-c795-4b7d-b037-185d0506396c)
3. Rebooted my system
4. Uninstalled MyODBC
5. Rebooted my system
6. Reinstalled MyODBC
7. Rebooted my system
This worked for me. I hope this will help. It looks like a lot of people are having the same problem.
