test connection failed because of an error in initializing provider.Catastrophic failure

Hi,

I am trying to make a connection to mysql with microsoft data link. If I'll try to connectd without select the catalog, I can establish the connection. If I select the catalog, it return un error "test connection failed because of an error in initializing provider.Catastrophic failure".
I have installed MyODBC-3.51.11, and the version of mysql is 3.23.

Can anybody help me.
