Unable to connect via ODBC

Hi,

I am upgrading the back end of an Access database to MySQL on a windows network.

I have installed mysql and the administrator on a network pc (WinXp Pro SP2) and it is up and running fine. I am able to connect via odbc on the same pc to the database with no problems.

I am now trying to connect via odbc to the mysql server from another pc, but have not been able to. In order to check that I could see the pc with mysql installed, i did a ping to 10.0.0.66 and received a reply.

My odbc settings are as follows:

IP: 10.0.0.66
User: root
Password: test

And when I hit the test button, I get a message "Cant connect to Mysql server on '10.0.0.66' (10060).

Any help much appreciated.
