"No database selected" error after migrating from 3.51 to 5.1

Hello all.

I installed the new released ODBC connector 5.1.4 for windows, and redefined a connection, replacing the old connection I had with 3.5
The "test" button confirms a successful connection.

Trying to access from the application, I'm getting this error:
[MySQL][ODBC 5.1 Driver][mysqld-5.0.51a-community-nt]No satabase selected

What am I missing?
