Unfortunately the last release was the only one so far(and we hope the last one) when we did not release max os binaries. if you want - you can find in our archive(http://downloads.mysql.com/archives.php?p=mysql-connector-odbc-5.1) previous versions binaries.

to build the 5.1.9 driver from source you need cmake, and not . please see instructions on http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.5/en/connector-odbc-installation-source-unix.html
but please ignore "configure" parts of it - they are not applicable to the 5.1.9 version.
