Janko,

Try the following (work in my case with the greek character set):

when creating the DSN in the "Connect Options" tab there is an input box for the SQL statement that you want to issue automatically after the connection has been established. In there put the command "set names greek" (substitute greek with whatever character set is required). Also remember to use the correct font as well in the application [e.g. Times New Roman(greek) in my case].
