This seems to have solved my difficulty, although as a newcomer I'm a bit uncertain about the second line. I did get it to work on the third try, using a DSN I'd already defined. What would I enter to define a new DSN? (It may be pertinent that the SQL source I'm connecting to is remote and not local.)
